Lacquered tells a part of our story. We make 12 different dipping sauces in-house, so you can choose your favorite and “lacquer up” your protein. To me, sauces are one of the most fun and flavorful parts of a meal, and I love giving people the freedom to make their food their own.

Lacquered wasn’t created by a big restaurant group or a team of designers. It was built with my own two hands, a lot of determination, and more than a few YouTube tutorials. I did much of the construction myself. I thrifted decorations, took on DIY projects, and slowly created a space that felt like home.

I wanted Lacquered to feel like walking into Grandma’s country kitchen — a place that feels warm, familiar, and comforting. A place where you can sit down, eat something delicious, and feel taken care of.

Owning a small restaurant isn’t always glamorous. There have been long days, late nights, sacrifices, setbacks, and moments when I’ve wondered how I would keep going. But then I walk into my kitchen, turn on the burners, and remember why I started.

I love feeding people.

My passion is making honest, comforting food from scratch. I believe some of the best food is made the old-fashioned way — with good ingredients, time, care, and a whole lot of love.

One of my favorite things to do is shop at local farmers markets, searching for fresh, seasonal ingredients and finding inspiration in whatever looks beautiful that day. I love knowing where my ingredients come from and supporting the local farmers and small businesses in my community. For me, cooking starts long before I step into the kitchen — it starts with choosing ingredients that I’m excited to bring back and turn into something delicious.
