Berenice master of design! Queen of comedy! Writer of our newsletter briefings with her alias our beloved Bernadette LabRatette.

This beautiful woman has been a part of the Long Beach Beer Lab team since 2018. She has helped shape our brand in ways unimaginable and we are so thankful for her hard work and dedication every single day.

We are continually impressed and inspired by Berenice’s creations and grit as she faces all undertakings with diligence, thoughtfulness and creativity. We are thankful to have her aboard.

It’s the last day of Camp Bread. We had a great time meeting everyone. So many amazing classes that ranged from hands on bread and pastry to dumplings, doughnuts and flatbreads. We enjoyed the Business classes and using all the cool equipment Most of all we enjoyed spending time with our bread friends.

Today’s highlight is this amazing German chocolate cake!
Made with rich and moist dark chocolate cake, milk chocolate mousse, German chocolate cake filling, filled to the brim with toasted coconut and pecans. Glazed with a super chocolaty ganache and topped with toasted coconut and cocoa nibs.
This perfect cake is paired with a bourbon barrel aged German chocolate cake stout called the Nihilist. If you are a long time customer you may remember this amazing beer from the beginning of the beer lab. At 14% abv it hits hard but you would never know from the balance flavor. Dangerous!!!!
Come and join us this Thursday the 11th at the Wrigley Beer Lab on Willow or Sunday the 14th at the Zaferia Beer Lab on Anaheim to get a taste of this amazing pairing.

Happy New Year Everyone! Wishing all of you happiness and success in the year ahead. 2023 hasn’t been easy but I am hopeful for new beginnings, success, love and peace for us all. Thank you everyone who has come out to support our business in 2023 and I look forward to serving the Long Beach community in 2024. Come out and join us with welcoming in the new year at either our Wrigley location on Willow or our Zaferia location on Anaheim! Open till after midnight. The weekend is here and we have a new iteration of our Summer Salad Special! This recipe is by the lovely Chef Lulu Trabka. Our play on a Caesar Salad, summer greens, house made sourdough croutons, shaved baby zucchini, charred corn with a creamy Parmesan, garlic and lemon dressing. Pair perfectly with Citra Ception IPA pictured here. I also hear Gloop Glop is back on the menu for all those wanting to indulge in our non beer options. Cheers everyone and have a great weekend!

It’s almost time for the Pizza Fest LA. Ceresota Flour has provided this beautiful AP flour to make our Grandma Slice. Our naturally fermented dough uses 50% Ceresota AP flour and 50% Central Milling Fancy Durum flour. It starts with beautiful soft fluffy flour mixed and then fermented for 24 hours. Natural and Kosher Muenster cheese in the crust and then topped with locally grown produce and Natural and Kosher Mozzarella Cheese. Can’t wait for the pizza Fest on Sunday April 30th come by and have a slice !
