Bet you didn’t think this would be the update today!!!!!! Drywall ✅✅✅. It’s getting real, really real. Cooks, bartenders, runners, and great people needed and wanted. Message Carrie 402-740-4073, interviews will be set up for as early as next week!!!!

We didn’t forget about the firefly! Work is still progressing as fire safe insulation will be sprayed starting today and drywall can begin after that!

Hey there! It’s been a while so let’s update:
1. Framing ✅
2. Bar built ✅
3. Midwest fire safety vent hood installed ✅
You guys, this fireplace and all of the firefly will be ready for you shortly. It’s worth the wait! Say what you will, it’s taking a while, but when you sit in this place or on that patio, we hope you’ll feel proud and you enjoy yourself to the fullest! In order to do that, we’ve taken it to the brick and are bringing it back to life step by step!

The patio and new sidewalks have been poured! I have always wanted to put their little handprints somewhere and finally we got to!!!! Soon it’s the fence and landscaping then we finish up on the inside!!!

Progress today on the patio project! Things don’t always move as quickly as we would hope but we are still diligently working away on an amazing space and are happy to include a patio to sip, sip, Hooray! It’s a process, feel free to follow along.

The new patio door is installed!!! A little messy still, but the brick work is almost complete and started on the inside as well. The firefly will feature an outdoor concrete patio with TV’s as well as fire pits and an indoor fire place. We plan to open after just in time for summer to come to an amazing close and fall to make its way in! Breakfast and brunch featuring hand crafted cocktails and Stories coffee by day, adult small plates and more amazing cocktails by night… Who’s ready?

It’s so hard to wait, but I love love watching the progress! Under all of this they are working away to tuck point all of the original brick!!!

Houston, we have an update. The construction has now also begun on the outside of our building! More to come tomorrow!

I know it’s taken us a little longer than our usual but we are thrilled to share the renderings of what will become the firefly.
BIG PLANS.
We didn’t want to just take over a space and operate in the same fashion as before. Those who came before us worked hard for their dreams, and now we are hard at work at ours. Our vision is fully renovated and made new for all. We don’t care for it to come easy, we care that it is planned and prepared for not only for our generation but the generations to come.
