As we’re preparing for our reopening, I’ve been playing around with some NEW menu ideas, and I want to hear from Y’ALL!

Now y’all already know we have our delicious Jamaican Beef Patties 🇯🇲🔥, BUT I’ve been thinking about adding EGG ROLLS to our appetizer menu! 👀

And NO, we wouldn’t be doing your average egg rolls! 😂 Y’all know how we do at It’s a Wrap! They would be uniquely created with our own signature flavors, fillings, and that It’s a Wrap twist! 🤤🌯

I know we’ve been quiet, but trust me, we have NOT given up!

This journey has been filled with delays, disappointments, unexpected setbacks, and plenty of moments that tested my faith! But one thing about ME, I didn’t come this far to throw in the towel! 🙏🏾

I’ve been building this brand since 2016, and what started as a dream has become so much bigger than I ever imagined!

We are STILL working toward opening our doors in Ellenwood, GA, and we’re STILL seeking that final $4,800 investment to secure our location!

Family, friends, and supporters, I’m coming to y’all with a humble heart! 🙏🏽❤️ It’s a Wrap Cafe is STILL on the journey to opening our doors in Ellenwood, and we need a little help getting across the finish line!

Our goal is $4,800 to get us open! If you’re unable to donate, we’re also looking for an investor willing to invest the $4,800 in exchange for a percentage of profits over an agreed-upon period of time, or another agreed-upon return on the investment. The terms are open for discussion!

Listen, I’ve come too far to give up now! This business is more than wraps and salads to me. It’s my purpose, my passion, my livelihood, and a dream I’ve been fighting to bring back to life. 💚🌯

💚🌯 A MESSAGE FROM IT’S A WRAP CAFE 🌯💚

First and foremost, I want to apologize to everyone for being so quiet and seemingly off the grid lately. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes that has unfortunately affected the business, and I feel it’s only right to keep everyone who has been supporting us informed.

As many of you know, I’ve been working hard to get It’s a Wrap Cafe into our secured location in Ellenwood, GA. Unfortunately, the business partner who committed to investing in the location has backed out of the deal, and the funding that was supposed to help us move forward is no longer available.

So right now, I’m at a crossroads. I’m either looking for a serious investor who is interested in receiving a return on their investment, or I may have to make the difficult decision to put this project on hold altogether.

Let me be clear: I AM NOT GIVING UP! 💪🏾🙏🏾

Anybody who truly knows me knows I’m willing to grind. I’m willing to put in the work, sacrifice, and do whatever it takes to make this business successful. No excuses, no days off! But one thing I’m learning throughout this journey is that I cannot continue building with people who aren’t solid in their commitments. That has honestly been one of my biggest setbacks.

The good news is that the location is already secured! We are not starting from scratch. We simply need to secure the remaining funds to move forward with the lease, and once that piece is in place, we can begin taking the necessary steps to get everything moving.

Unfortunately, the company is taking a major financial hit right now, and this setback has been difficult. But I know who I serve, and I believe that sometimes God allows things to fall apart so He can put them back together the right way. 🙌🏾

I’m asking for prayers, connections, resources, and serious business opportunities. If you know someone who invests in small businesses, supports Black women-owned businesses, or may be interested in partnering with a growing food business, please inbox me. Even if you don’t have the financial resources yourself, sharing this message or connecting me with the right person could make all the difference.

I’ve poured my heart, time, money, and energy into building It’s a Wrap Cafe. This business means more to me than just selling wraps and salads. It represents my hard work, my purpose, my children’s future, and the legacy I’m trying to build.

I’ve come too far to walk away without exhausting every possible option. I’m trusting God, staying focused, and continuing to do my part while praying for the right doors to open.

I really have REAL relationships and REAL communication with my clients. 🥹💚 When I say I love y’all from the bottom of my heart, I do not use that word loosely!

You all have been here through every storm, every high, every low, and every change I have made within this business. Y’all flow with me, never question the process, and continue to show up and support me every single time. So many of my clients have become family, and we truly have our own little village over here at It’s a Wrap Cafe! 🌯💚

Once you get one taste, you’re caught in the Wrap trap! 😂🔥 But seriously, I am so excited to get back out there in the field and see all of you again.

I wanted to share this because, yes, my clients will text me at 9:00 at night about meal prep, and they already know Fee is going to take care of them by any means necessary if I can! OPEN LETTER TO MY FELLOW ENTREPRENEURS 💼

Business is psychological.

The deeper you get into this game, the more you realize it is not just about making money. It is about people, power, emotions, trust, boundaries, timing, leverage, and knowing exactly who is sitting across the table from you.

Especially when it comes to partnerships.

Everybody who wants to “build with you” is not necessarily thinking the way you are thinking.

You may be thinking legacy.

They may be thinking percentages.

You may be thinking long term.

They may be thinking about how fast they can get their money back.

You may be thinking, “How can we grow this?”

They may be thinking, “How much control can I get?”

And that is why you have to learn how to read PEOPLE, not just contracts.

Watch how somebody responds when you say NO.

Watch what happens when you set a boundary.

Watch whether they respect the fact that you built something before they ever came along.

Watch whether they want to invest in the vision, or slowly position themselves to control it.

Because money changes conversations.

Everybody is cool when the business is still being discussed.

Everybody is “family” when there is no real money involved.

Everybody believes in teamwork when nobody has had to make a hard decision yet.

But when the money starts moving, the business starts growing, personalities start showing, and disagreements happen, you will quickly learn why EVERYTHING needs to be in writing.

Percentages.

Responsibilities.

Decision making.

Profit splits.

Buyout terms.

Exit terms.

Ownership.

Control.

ALL OF IT.

And one question every entrepreneur should ask before entering a partnership is:

“What happens when we disagree?”

Because everybody talks about what happens when the business succeeds.

Nobody talks enough about what happens when the relationship changes.

And here is another lesson…

DO NOT GIVE AWAY PERMANENT CONTROL BECAUSE YOU ARE IN A TEMPORARY SITUATION.

Read that again.

Desperation will have you entertaining deals you would never consider if you were operating from a stronger position.

Excitement will make you overlook red flags.

Friendship will make you skip paperwork.

Fear of losing the opportunity will make you agree to things your gut already told you were wrong.

Slow down.

Pray about it.

Think about it.

Negotiate.

Ask questions.

And do not be afraid to walk away from money that comes with too much control attached to it.

A good partnership should strengthen BOTH people.

It should not make the person who created the business feel like a visitor inside of their own company.

Protect your brand.

Protect your ideas.

Protect your ownership.

Protect your peace.

Protect the years you spent building when nobody was clapping, investing, helping, or even paying attention.

Because everybody who brings something to the table does NOT automatically deserve control of the table.

Rest in peace, Mr. V. 🕊️❤️

I got this news yesterday and it really hit me. Since moving out to Henry County, I haven’t been in the city as much, but anytime I needed certain restaurant equipment, Mr. V was still one of the first people I would think to call or go see.

I’ve known Mr. V since around 2014, when my ex-husband and I first moved to Georgia. He was one of the very first people we ever purchased restaurant equipment from, and from day one, he and his daughters always made us feel welcome.

If you’re in the restaurant industry in Atlanta, then you already know. Mr. V was truly a staple. This is a major loss to the community and especially to so many of us in the restaurant business.

He was always a jokester, always in good spirits, always laughing, always making somebody feel comfortable. I have nothing but good memories and good things to say about him. He really seemed to live life to the fullest, and he definitely earned the title of the money man of the A. 😂❤️

As a fellow restaurateur, I truly appreciate everything he did for people like us. There were times we walked in there dead broke trying to keep a business going, and he would still find a way to give us the best deal. Sometimes he would work with us, finance equipment when the credit wasn’t perfect, and just understand the reality of being a young entrepreneur trying to make something happen.

That type of support matters.

Mr. V rooted for young business owners. He encouraged us. He inspired us to keep pushing, keep building, and keep believing in what we were trying to create.

I’m praying for his daughters, his family, his staff, and everyone who loved him during this difficult time. I truly believe his daughters will continue to carry his legacy in a way that would make him proud.

Thank you, Mr. V, for every deal, every laugh, every word of encouragement, and every time you helped somebody keep their dream alive.
