We have been informed that the Blue Ridge Parkway is now OPEN from Little Switzerland going south to Highway 80! Mt Mitchell is still only accessible from the south side (closed from hwy 80 to the park), and Crabtree falls trails status is unknown at this time.
The BRP heading north from Little Switzerland is now OPEN as of noon today all the way through to Linville Falls and points beyond. Just in time for leaf season!
We are here every day 9-5, seven days a week, with coffee, pumpkin spice, pastry goodies, hot cocoa, books and gifts, and local art galore until December 1st! Come visit.

If you haven't been to see our friends at Bigfoot Books and Brews down in Marion, go! They're having a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to expand their Itty bitty space into the space next door. Kickstarter is all or nothing, so they've got 2 weeks left to hit their goal and get their donations. Anything you can kick in would be amazing. A buck, a fiver, whatever.

Despite what Google and Apple Maps says, I PROMISE WE ARE OPEN. 9-5, every single day. Including Sundays. Including holidays (except Thanksgiving day). I swear.
