We have a private area or room that can be reserved called “The Refuge”. We do not usually ask or require a specific reason to reserve the room. We usually just ask for the date, time, and amount of people. We were as shocked as most of you were to see our restaurant name attached to a political meeting being held at our place. Goosepond Pizza is not a person and it has no vote in any upcoming elections. We, the owners, would never allow our business to be used for political gain or defamation. Our goal is that Goosepond Pizza be a favorite family friendly environment in which family and friends can gather, eat together, celebrate milestones, and make memories together. When we found the post we kindly called the person we had listed as reserving the room and shared this same message and asked that they retract the post. From what I can see they kindly did just that. I’d like to thank them for doing that!
The word “Refuge”, which we call our reservable room, means “safety, protection, or a safe place that hides someone from danger or trouble." It refers to a physical shelter for help and relief during a hard time. Its purpose is to provide just that… a safe family friendly place for people to gather together. We hope and pray that any misconceptions that came from the post will be resolved by our post. We pray you will give us your heart and allow Goosepond Pizza to be one of your hometown family friendly favorites. Where we have no agenda but creating great memories and meals for you and your family and friends.
