Whether dining in Linthicum Heights or shipping nationwide, we are dedicated to quality and tradition. The original G&M Restaurant was founded in 1974 as a neighborhood pizza shop. The old pizza shop evolved into a casual family restaurant over the years to include a number of dining rooms, as well as a lounge. A minor renovation occurred in 1993 when the business changed hands. While the restaura
nt may have looked a little different, the emphasis on high quality meals, served in generous portions at reasonable prices continued. Since 1993, word of mouth brought the G&M name to the top of many food lovers lists for having great food and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Most notably, people from all over Maryland, and the continental United States, have recognized our crab cakes as being the best that Maryland has to offer. Since 1999, G&M crab cakes have won countless awards (see Reviews section) from up and down the east coast in magazines, newspapers and radio shows. In 2001, G&M started offering seafood and crab cakes online as mail order items. Demand for these items has skyrocketed over the years. Through thorough research and development packaging was developed to enable customers in all 50 states to receive fresh Maryland crab cakes overnight. In early 2009, every piece of the building was redesigned and brought up to date to include a technologically advanced kitchen and preparation area, larger dining rooms and a dual level lounge area. The business was never shut down in the year and a half that it took to complete this major renovation project. The main goal was to create a more efficient building to better serve the thousands of patrons that come through the doors every week. For over 30 years, G&M has stood for consistent, quality meals with top notch service. With the support of loyal customers and the wonderful neighboring community, the G&M family looks forward to welcoming new faces for many years to come.
