Come on down to Sandhills Global Event Center as we come together to support and celebrate the life of my grieving sista, Jennifer Evans.
We'll be serving chicken, fish, fries, and mac & cheese as we raise funds in honor of a woman whose journey has touched so many hearts.
Jennifer lost her son, Sevyn, to gun violence a year and a half ago. She and I formed a bond no mother ever wants to sharethe devastating pain and trauma of losing a child. As grieving mothers, we understand a reality that words can never fully explain. I shared with my sista the tools that helped me navigate this new norm, this life none of us asked for. But even with the tools, the support, and the daily strength we try to, gather, grief is still hard. It is still heavy. The reality of becoming someone forever changed by the loss of a child is something no human being can truly imagine unless they've lived it.
My heart aches for Jennifer's children, grandchildren, family, and everyone who loved her. Yet, even in our sorrow, there is also celebration.
Jenni and I often talked about the day we would reunite with our children. We would say, "Don't cry for us. Celebrate our lives. Celebrate knowing that we have gained our wings and are finally embracing the child we've longed to hold again."
So today, we honor Jennifer with both tears and love. We remember her strength, her honesty, her unwavering love for Sevyn, and the beautiful soul she was to so many.
Y'all come on down and support my sista in grief. Help us celebrate a life that mattered and a love that never ends.
Love you, Jenni. Until I see you again. Give my son Tim a hug, and embrace your son, Sevyn, for me. ❤️

We're open today at 4:00 pm until 9 pm.... We had a catering gig and now we're headed to the truck to serve and feed y'all good people 🙏

We served our last Plate 🙏 Y'all was forreal forreal about those stuffed turkey legs and Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta 💯 We'll run it back tomorrow..... People still pulling up 👏 🙌 👏 We'll have banana pudding, peach cobbler & caramel snicker cake tomorrow.
