HOW IN THE WORLD... has it already been 4 years since we opened?

Over the last four years we've met so many amazing people. Familiar faces, first time guests, students, downtown workers, you name it. You've all helped make Pita & Naan what it is today. It feels like just yesterday we were sitting around my parents kitchen table taste testing and trying to figure out which recipes would become favorites. Looking back at these photos, it's hard to believe how far we've come.

Because you all have made this experience so sweet, we are going to celebrate 4 years with half price baklava all weekend long. Not only that, but we are excited to introduce a new drink for the summer...Mango Lassi!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for supporting our family's dream. So many of you truly feel like an extension of our family. We're excited to see what's in store for the future of Pita & Naan.

Always great to see familiar faces!

We're happy to see Rebekah Allick back in Lincoln for the summer. Dad was so excited he couldn't even keep his eyes open for the picture. She's been supporting us for years, and we're excited to watch her continue her volleyball career in the LOVB league.

Tomorrow (6/4) is our First Thursday Giving Day!

We're donating 10% of sales to the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools. The Foundation for LPS helps fill the gap and make sure students and educators have access to the resources they need to succeed.

Stop by for lunch or dinner and help support local students and schools while enjoying your favorite meal.

Last night started off pretty quiet downtown… until this group rolled in.

Big thanks to the Pub Pedalers crew for the support and entertainment last night!

Also, don’t forget, today we’re donating 10% of all sales to To The Brim Communities as part of Give to Lincoln Day.

This Thursday, May 28th, is Give to Lincoln Day, and we’re partnering with To The Brim Communities. We’ll be donating 10% of our sales that day to support their organization.

Over the past couple years, we’ve had the opportunity to work with the team at To The Brim. Their organization focuses on building stronger communities and supporting people experiencing hardship here in Lincoln.

One program we’ve been part of, along with several other local restaurants, is donating leftover food from our restaurant. The To The Brim team then helps distribute those meals throughout downtown Lincoln.

We’re grateful for the work they do in our community and thankful to be able to support them this Give to Lincoln Day.

Phase 2 of the Project O Street construction begins today. This is the phase that closes the 3-block stretch directly in front of our restaurant (13th to 16th Street), so naturally, it’s the part we’ve been the most nervous about. Crews will begin removing pavement and starting the process of replacing the 50 year old water main.

We wanted to start by saying how grateful we are for the incredible support from the community. Over the past few weeks, so many people have gone out of their way to support downtown businesses, and it truly means a lot to our family. We've been especially thankful for the steady catering orders and lunches that have kept us going during construction. Dinner hours have been a little quieter at times, but the continued support has made a huge difference for us.

We know construction can make things feel confusing or inconvenient, but we wanted to remind everyone that we are OPEN throughout this entire project. Parking garages, side streets, and walkways are still open and continue to provide access to downtown businesses. Thank you for supporting our business. Every visit, social media share, and recommendation to friends/coworkers genuinely helps more than you know.
