Joe Hager, a native of Lincoln, NE, found his true passion for the art of barbecue during his time in Texas back in 2014. It was there that he discovered and fell in love with the authentic flavors of Central Texas slow-oak smoked barbecue. You may have noticed our 3-year anniversary post. Those three years didn’t come easy… and they definitely didn’t come by myself. I owe a lot to my day-one Pitmaster J, Justin. He started part-time and quickly grew into a full-time role with pure passion and love for the game. Early mornings, rain or shine — the pits are lit and loaded because of you, brother.
