Fair week is one of our favorite times of the year, but we also know it can come with disappointment.
Most people only see a few minutes in the show ring, but what they don’t see are the months of early mornings, late nights, feeding, cleaning, training, and caring for these animals. They don’t see the countless hours, the hard work, the dedication, or the financial investment these families make to help their kids succeed.
Sometimes, despite doing everything right, a project doesn’t make the fair auction.
Our own daughter has been in that position more than once, so we know that feeling all too well. We know the heartbreak, the tears, and the disappointment that comes after putting your whole heart into a project.
Because of that, we want to give back.
10% of all Big Sticky’s BBQ sales this week will be donated to two hardworking exhibitors whose livestock projects didn’t make the sale this year. Their dedication deserves to be recognized, and we hope to remind them that their hard work matters far beyond the auction ring.
If you’re looking for dinner this week, stop by Big Sticky’s BBQ booth between 4:30 and 9:30?? Every meal purchased will help support these two amazing kids and show them that our community stands behind them.
