Sling spell and show support on this special night here at The Side Deck as we celebrate Pride with Magic Presents: Pride! For this special Commander event, players will be able to turn their commander into a "partner" commander, picking another legendary creature to join them in the Command Zone. The partner picked can be any color, meaning that it can be matched to an already existing deck's color identity or can be an opportunity to build something entirely new! As a thank you for participating in this event, participants will receive a special art of the card Gilded Lotus featuring the Planeswalkers Chandra and Nissa (while supplies last).

Premodern Win-a-Card Tournament

- Date: June 13th
- Time: 1:00PM
- Entry: $35
- Location: TSD Columbia

Proxies: Allowed (photo replica and legible to all players)

Prizing: Store credit will be given based on player participation numbers. 1st place will receive one of the following cards based on how many players enter.

4-8 Players: Argothian Enchantress (Urza's Saga)
9-14 Players: Flooded Strand (Onslaught)
15-19 Players: Replenish
20-25 Players: Phyrexian Dreadnought OR Serra's Sanctum: (1st place get's to choose one or the other, unchosen card does not get prized out)
26+ Players: Phyrexian Dreadnought AND Serra's Sanctum (1st place gets choice between the two, 2nd get's the card 1st didn't choose)

Join us at The Side Deck's Columbia location for our Premodern "Win-a-Card" event!

For this special event, the winner will receive a Premodern-legal card based on how many players are in the event. The more people that play, the better the winner card will be!

Even if you don't get first, store credit will still be given out based on how many people played in the event. Proxies will be allowed for this event, but they must be a photo replica that is legible to all players.

Magic the Gathering: Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease

Dates & Time:

-June 19th at 6:30 pm
-June 20th at Noon & 4:00 pm
-June 21st at 12:30 pm (Two-Headed Giant)
-June 21st at 4:00 pm

- Prizing: 1 play booster pack per win

Join us at The Side Deck for our Marvel Super Heroes prelease events!

Players will construct a 40-card deck using the contents of their prerelease kits and play in 3 rounds of a Swiss-style tournament.

For our Two-Headed Giant prerelease, players will play in teams of 2 with their prerelease decks. For each round won, the winning player/team will receive a play booster pack of the prerelease set.

*Participating in a prerelease event will be the only way to receive a prerelease kit until the final prerelease event has concluded.

This event will only be offered at our Lexington location

To help ensure as many players as possible can get product, the following purchase limits will be in effect:

Magic the Gathering Presents: Marvel Super Heroes Avengers Academy

Join us here at The Side Deck for a very special learn-to-play event for Magic the Gathering, the Avengers Academy!

This event is designed to help new players learn how to play Magic while also giving a little sneak peak at their upcoming Marvel Super Heroes set.

Players will be in teams of 2 during this event, and each player will receive 1 of the 5 Marvel-themed Welcome Decks to play with. It is recommended to bring a teammate who already knows how to play Magic to the event, but you can also team-up with someone you meet at the event!
