I thought this would be the best way to reach as many people and would reduce the likelihood of miscommunication!
For those of you who don’t know, I am a teacher at Lexington high school in addition to having this cottage shop bakery.In March, I was notified I would be placed on the Reduction in force list.
I received an email from Mr. Secrist, and my Reduction In Force status is being recalled, so I will be continuing my employment at Lexington next year. My role will be the perfect way to use my skillset to meet the needs of the district as I will be assisting with the district's career pathways initiatives, and my work will expand to cover students in grades 7-12.
I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during all of this!
While this has been a difficult experience, I hope that people continue to invest in our district by attending events, supporting the students and individuals who work in the schools, and by voting (regardless of how you align politically) in a way that invests in our community's future, as the schools are the essential backbone of our community.
