Ours starts with Matt and Betsy Borland — a husband and wife team who believe food should bring people together and flavor should never be boring.

Matt’s love for the craft of cooking paired with Betsy’s Thai roots (where bold flavor, color, and meaning show up everywhere) helped shape what Rise N’ Brine is today.

But there’s one more personality behind the story…

Coach Matthew Mitchell — Matt’s brother-in-law, basketball coach, investor, band frontman, and the reason you’ll see a certain chicken wearing sunglasses around here.
