In recent months, we’ve received multiple counterfeit bills. Mainly in the form of fifties and hundreds. Someone in Lexington is distributing prop money meant for Motion Picture Purposes ONLY and bills with no serial numbers or security threads. It doesn’t even feel like real money, but they have been getting away with it at some places. We check all big bills that come through our register, and any counterfeit bills will be confiscated. Our cashiers mark each bill and know what to look for on each bill to confirm whether or not it is counterfeit. Please make sure to check your cash to know if you’ve fallen victim to anyone who is distributing counterfeit funds in our town.
