There have been a lot of people with questions and I just wanted to lay it out and tell a little about our story. Zack and I noticed that there was a void in the market for a food establishment in our area. We anticipated that a food trailer would do well, and we were right! In the beginning, we planned this business to be a part time thing making breakfast tacos in the mornings on weekdays. After realizing the real demand was in lunch and dinner, it morphed into a full time to-go restaurant.
I am so grateful for the community for giving us so much business and keeping us so busy. I admit that if this were my passion, I’d love doing it, but I’ve been so busy with it that it’s taken away from family time as well as my sanity. The food business isn’t just showing up for shifts and serving food. It’s a 7 day a week job, and there’s quite a bit involved.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with hard work. My dad was a house mover, so from an early age I learned about hard manual labor and have no problem getting dirty. But I became so busy with the business that I never saw family except for a quick ‘hi’ and ‘bye.’ And when I got home to my husband and daughter, I was either too tired to play with her or the 15 things on my to-do list was nagging at my brain. It got to where my family took a back-burner to my business.
If this were my dream, I wouldn’t have minded making it work, but my passion is doing what I did before all of this. I love spreadsheets. I love doing data analysis, managerial reporting and I also do ISO 9001 (creation, implementation, training, auditing, etc.).
I want to thank the community for your business and your extensive support. Without you, we couldn’t have made it happen. We want to thank you for the opportunity. We had a ton of fun while doing it and made priceless relationships and friends. I am sorry that we weren’t able to make it work, but hopefully set an example for someone else who has the desire and passion to create food.
