Blind Tiger We have a history of surprising your tastebuds, and now we will surprise you yet again! A "Blind Tiger" was actually a fascinating term from the 1800s.

Our restaurant will provide you with the history of Lenox, great food, and a great experience! It was a nickname for speakeasies and illegal drinking establishments that popped up during temperance times, particularly when alcohol restrictions were sweeping across America. In fact, the first Blind Tigers in South Carolina appeared in Charleston around 1893 as a way to resist the strict "Dispensary

" laws put in place by Governor Ben "Pitchfork" Tillman. We hope to help this name live on in with our restaurant and pay homage to this rebellious history and the history of Lenox, Iowa.

Mike took some time in July to freshen things up around here, and we’re excited to finally share what’s been added. To start we have added a couple of fun appetizers .....Onion Peels and BBQ Eggrolls.... both already getting rave reviews from our regulars.

On the main menu, you’ll now find a few new salad options and hamburgers. He now has daily specials for the week. Thursday Wings and Pasta, Friday Ribs, Saturday Steak night.

We’ve rounded things out with cleaner descriptions, easier choices, and kept the extra Blind Tiger flair to make your visit even better.
