* The dishes aren’t going to wash themselves. We checked.

🤍 Meet the Family Monday 🖤

Meet The Strickland Sisters — Maura & Paige ✨

If you've spent much time at Bingham's over the last several years, especially on a holiday weekend, chances are you've met at least one of the Strickland sisters. And if you've met one, you've probably asked:

"Do you have a sister that works here?"
Or...
"Are you guys twins?" 😄

It's one of the questions they hear the most.

Maura has been part of the Bingham's family for seven years, and Paige has been with us for four. Together, they've become two of those familiar faces that help make this place feel like home.

When asked why they've stayed at Bingham's, they both gave essentially the same answer because they have formed relationships that feel like family. As someone who gets feels like this way herself, I can tell you that's one of my favorite answers I've received so far.

Maura's favorite meal is a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and her favorite pie is cherry crumb 🥧

Paige's favorite meal is a chicken fajita omelette and her favorite pie is chocolate cream 🤍

Outside of Bingham's, their favorite family tradition is Christmas Eve dinner with their grandparents 🎄

There is something really special about watching sisters work together. They look out for each other, laugh with each other, and somehow always seem to find each other no matter how busy the restaurant gets.

One of the things I've learned since taking over Bingham's is that the people who stay are the people who make this place what it is. The people who build friendships that turn into family. The people who show up for each other long after the shift is over.

My dad used to say that restaurants are really about people. The food brings them in, but the people are what bring them back. Maura and Paige are a perfect example of that.

We're incredibly grateful they've chosen to spend part of their story with us.

And for the record... no, they're not twins 😉

Thank you, Maura and Paige, for spending every summer and every break from school with your BFR family, we are all better because you're a part of this place!

Tomorrow morning, railfans from all over will be gathering to watch the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy make its way across the historic Tunkhannock Viaduct around 10:00 AM!
