Well - its been a journey! The bar is more than 4 walls to me, it is not a possession that I owned but it is a place of family and friends. It was a passion that I dreamed of as a young adult. So many memories and so much history. The Wooden Shoe growth over the last 19 years is something that still amazes me daily. This is a very hard week because each time I walk out the door I know my time as the owner of such a great place has come to an end. I will be passing that title to Paul and Brittany on Monday the 5th at 1pm and I can honestly say I think this is one of the most emotional things I have ever endured. I thank all the customers and staff for the memories as those will be cherished. I will be in Marinette at The Wooden Spoon on Main Catering growing that chapter and creating food. While it is difficult, I also realize that it is time for me to step aside. I hope to see as many as I can this week and on Sunday I we will be opening at 9am for close friends and family for a light breakfast Lukie style and then we will welcome everyone else to join us at 11am when we normally open for drink and food specials, raffles and the Packer Game. There is a great set of bartenders coming to help me finish this era and for some of them it is their last day as well so please come in and say see ya later but not good bye! Love Carisa
