Today's Daily Dose of Good is a shout out to our neighbor, Gio Fund and it's owner Chris Rogers. Our World Tavern Poker tournaments must be played this week and he has graciously allowed BBX to host the tournaments at Gio Fund.

✈️ For 42 years, DOC sat in the Mojave Desert as a target for Navy weapons training.

This weekend, the rescued bomber will fly from the same Wilmington airport where fighter pilots prepared for war eight decades ago.

The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour arrives Thursday, Sept. 24-Sunday, Sept. 27, with two increasingly rare WWII aircraft: DOC, one of only two airworthy examples of the massive B-29 Superfortress long-range bomber, and P-51 Gunfighter, one of roughly 150 surviving examples of the fast, single-seat Mustang fighter.

Visitors can climb into the cockpit, cross the bomb bay, explore the crew stations, and meet some of the people keeping the aircraft airborne. Ground tours cost $10 per person or $20 per family and run Thursday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 12-4:30 p.m.

🎶 Join Shuckin Shack Leland this Saturday, September 26 from 2-10pm with live music from Papa Midnight and Dave’s Garage Band, raffles, and merch while 20% of proceeds gets donated directly to Blood Cancer United

Today’s Daily Dose of Good is a little different and personal! 💕💕

Happy Anniversary to us! 39 years married and 44 years together! God has blessed us with our favorite child Jessica Ruggiero McManus, brought to us the son we always wanted in James McManus and had expanded our family with little Mackenzie (and of course Franklin)! He has led us down a path we never imagined. I love the life we have built together! Life is fun with you Bruce. Crazy at times and only getting more exciting and adventurous! I love that we keep adding new chapters to our never ending novel!!

Adding a special Heavenly Wedding Anniversary wish for 2 very special people. It was 96 years ago today that my Grandparents, Marie and Sal Germano, were married and began what would be a beautiful love story and life together! Bruce and I chose this day to be married in the hopes that our life together would be as it was for my grandparents. A life full of love and family and good friends.
