So since all the stress lately we’ve had time to take a step back and think. We would like to pursue a possible store front option. One stipulation I have is I would like to have help from our supporters and the public on where. We have also done a little updating on our logo. Soon we will work it out to have merchandise available with the new logo.

Well I’m making a call I desperately don’t want to make but due to everything now it’s best that I make it. We will not be making the Iowa state fair. Had shoulder surgery last Thursday on the 6th. And now today on our way to get new bunk beds for the kids we were involved in an accident and we are no without a truck and are in more stress and pain. Due to the added accident with all that we are being forced to pull out from the state fair.

So we are going to the Iowa state fair August 18th with beef short ribs. We also just got the email that we have been selected to participate in the sportsmanship category too. So being inspired by my inner child and also my almost 4 year old helper our theme will be cars 🚗 (lightning McQueen). Our side dishes will be smoked Mac & 🧀 and a smoked honey butter 🌽 . With a possibility of shoulder surgery right before or right after we cook at the state fair all the support we can get will be super appreciated. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the tremendous amount of support we have gotten along the way. Thank you so much. It really means the world to us. Even with all this happening we may also have some HUGE news coming in the near future so fingers crossed 🤞 it lines up that way we are hoping.

Ok we got the email this morning. We are Iowa State Fair bound again this year for beef. Due to a shoulder injury here’s what I’ve decided to do. I’m leaving it up to the voices of our supporters if we still compete in Calhoun county competition July 12th and/or Boone county competition July 18th. If we do compete in either one we do have the choice to change the meat to chicken, pork or turkey. If we stay with beef we can make it a practice cook basically or we can choose to opt out of those 2 competitions and stay home dial in what we will take to the state fair and not have to deal with the extra burdens. I will leave it up to the majority of our supporters. Let us know down in the comments. Thank you for all the support!!! It really does mean a lot to us

We’ve been slacking on posting about competitions so here’s the tentative plan. As of right now we are planning on July 12th in Rockwell city for Calhoun county fair, July 18th in Boone for the Boone county fair, July 31st& August 1st in Hampton for a backyard series. And hopefully getting back down the the Iowa state fair on August 18th. Due to being down with an injury right now if we happen to get drawn in the lottery drawing for the state fair I don’t think the plans for Calhoun county fair and Boone county fair will stay. As always thank you for everyone and everything you do to help us out along the way.
