Celebrate good times! 🥳
So many happy celebrations in our dining room yesterday! There’s nothing quite like a dining room full of happy, noisy children playing, mamas smiling, coaches beaming with pride, teachers and students relaxing, birthday boys and girls blowing out candles, Bunco groups hooping and hollering. Through the last 17 years (yes, 17!!! 🤯), we have hosted too many gatherings to even count, but each one makes us smile. We are so grateful to serve our community in this way!

Our princess event was a royal success yesterday! Thank you for bringing your beautiful princesses out and for your patience! Thank you to Lagniappe Theatre Company in Alexandria for sending Belle, Cinderella, Elsa, & Ana to us for the day! Thank you to the volunteers who helped keep everything flowing. Thank you to our awesome employees who always give 💯! We love our community!!

Well, guys. We aren’t going to open tomorrow. As always, we would rather err on the side of caution, especially when people’s kids are involved. Since we don’t know exactly when the roads will start freezing, we feel better allowing them to stay home tomorrow. God bless you all! Come get a hot pizza today!

Pink is Winter Storm Warning.
Blue is Winter Storm Watch.
Dark Purple is Ice Storm Warning.
Lighter Purple is Winter Weather Advisory.

The main difference in Ice Storm, and Winter Storm Warning is that the Ice Storm Warning is for freezing rain, and the Winter Storm Warning is for a mix of different types of wintry precipitation. I expect the Shreveport and Jackson offices to upgrade some of that blue area between warnings before they release their afternoon forecast package. Here's the text on the Ice Storm Warning from NWS Lake Charles...
..ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO 6 PM CST
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Total ice accumulations around a tenth to up to a half inch
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, southwest, and west central Louisiana
and southeast Texas.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Saturday to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Power outages and tree damage
are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible.
