Across our mountains, valleys, and small communities are extraordinary women, each with her own story, ambitions, challenges, and contributions to the place we call home.

So often, we live and work just miles apart, yet rarely have the opportunity to truly know one another.

Tonight, we hope to change that.

September in the Eastern Sierra... an evening at the edge of the season.

The light softens, the air cools, and the Harvest Moon rises over Mono Lake.

A celestial spectacle not to be seen again for another year.

Friday marks the first service of Chef Jay’s new Fall Tasting Menu, an equinox-inspired progression celebrating autumn’s arrival in the high country.

Dinner begins at twilight, as the mountains fall into shadow and silver light illuminates the basin. 

Saturday and Sunday are fully committed, with a limited number of reservations remaining for Friday and Monday evenings.

Join us for the 2nd Annual First Responders Appreciation BBQ at Mono Inn on
Sunday, October 4th from 4–8 PM 🇺🇸❤️

Last year, in the aftermath of the Inn Fire, we came together to say thank you to the first responders who showed up when we needed them most. What began as a gesture of gratitude has become a tradition we are incredibly proud to continue.

This year, we invite our entire community to gather again for an evening dedicated to the firefighters, law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs, search and rescue teams, and other first responders who protect and serve our Eastern Sierra communities every day.

Come share a BBQ dinner, enjoy live music by Cora Rose, bid on some incredible items in our silent auction, and spend an evening together celebrating the people who answer the call when our communities need them most.

Everyone is welcome, and all proceeds will benefit our local first responder departments.

Late summer in the Eastern Sierra is a celebration of what grows here. 🌱

Mono Inn has always been proud to partner with Blue Heron Farm bringing together a shared respect for place, thoughtful craftsmanship, and exceptional ingredients grown just down the mountain in Bishop.

From tomatoes and basil at the height of their season to Asian pears, carrots, and the last peaches of summer, Blue Heron’s bountiful harvests are featured on Chef Jay’s menus as the season unfolds. 🍅🥕 🍑🍐🥒

We’re grateful to Rachel, Aki, and the whole Blue Heron team for the meticulous care behind everything they grow, and for reminding us that “Good Food Grows Here” is more than a philosophy. It’s a connection between the land, the people who tend it, and what ultimately arrives and is enjoyed at the table.

A new month is coming…a fresh start, and a quiet sense of excitement has been building behind the scenes at Mono Inn.

Over the past several months, we’ve been pouring our energy into every detail, refining, reimagining, and preparing for the upcoming season of dining.

In just one week, on Friday, June 5th, we will reopen our doors, and we cannot wait to welcome you back.

From the first hello to the final moments of service, every element has been thoughtfully considered as we continue our pursuit of creating memorable experiences overlooking Mono Lake.

Thank you for your patience during our winter closure and for allowing us the time to prepare for what promises to be a beautiful season ahead.
