There is a shift happening in how Column connects with the growing community around us.

Column has always been built on three things: Christ. Community. Coffee.

The reality is that running a small business on today’s social media often turns an owner into a full-time content creator, editor, and director. That demand was taking time away from my family, time away from studying God's Word, and time away from intentionally connecting with you and perfecting our roast.

Because of this, I am deactivating Column Coffee’s Instagram account, effective immediately.

We will use this page to post the essential stuff: discounts, new coffee drops, and snippets from our newsletter. But our main hub for real conversation is moving to the Weekly Refresh email newsletter.

An email newsletter is direct—it lands in your inbox without the algorithm clutter. More importantly, it’s interactive. You can reply to the email directly. Share your prayer requests, your highs and lows, or your coffee questions. This is how we build the intentional, two-way relationship that makes Column what it is.

I am working toward a platform where we can all converse and do life together, but that isn’t quite here yet. Until then, here is how you can help build this: stay active here on Facebook, send us messages, share our posts, and sign up for our newsletter on the website.

☕ Temperature Targets

Under-heated water (below 195 °F / 90 °C) leaves coffee tasting thin and sour; over-hot (above 205 °F / 96 °C) can scorch into bitterness.

Quick experiment: brew the same beans twice—once right off boil minus 30 seconds, once two minutes off boil. Blind-taste and guess which is which.

Post your verdict 🔥 “hotter sweeter” or 💧 “cooler smoother.”

Science meets sip—and you become the expert.

📖 Philippians 4:6-7

Anxiety hums like an espresso grinder, but prayer pulls the plug. “Do not be anxious… but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

Exchange worry for worship: write one sentence of thanks before you list the need. Share both (thanks + need) below.

Then reply to at least one other person with a short blessing.

Peace that “guards hearts and minds” will start patrolling this thread!
