These types of posts typically lead with, “it is with heavy hearts and much consideration”…..While there has been much consideration we are not weighed down by our decision. We as a family and team have decided that 2026 will be the final year for The Lantern Breakfast, Lunch, and Events. We have been truly blessed to serve our customers and community for the past 7 years. We have shared in your weddings, baby showers, bachelorette parties, birthdays, promotions, anniversaries, graduations, proms, homecomings, dances, and farewell and welcome parties. We have shared in your celebrations of life events and have experienced the sadness of losing some of our beloved customers. We have had an amazing and once-in-a-lifetime experience navigating COVID, remote learning, and any number of other challenges that all small businesses have experienced in the past almost decade and returning to a new normal with all of you. We will miss you, our community. We have come to know many of you as our friends and new family and that will not change. We do not know what plans the good Lord has for us but we have faith that He will continue to guide our steps. We have several catering obligations that will carry use through almost the rest of 2026, and our last days will likely be mid-December. We hope to have the opportunity to say goodbye to all of you in person over the next couple of months. We love you all and are truly grateful to you for letting us be even a small part of your lives. We will keep you informed as we have new updates. If you need any experienced dishwasher, busser, prep cook, or front-of-house employees let us know. Thank you again for all your support.
