Earthell originally opened Excellent Choice back in 1996, with only herself operating, cooking & serving. She had no employees and an egg carton box for her cash register. Her food became known throughout Leavenworth and surrounding areas. Her customer base grew substantially to the extent that there was a long line wrapped around this small building and customers would wait at least an hour for her delicious food. To accommodate her eager and growing customer base, she moved to two bigger locations. She was open 7 days a week, breakfast, lunch and dinner and 23 employees to guide. Being at the top of her game she decided it was time to take a break and closed the doors in 2003.
Earthell & I for 9 years talked about reopening Excellent Choice. Knowing that we both knew what it took to run and succeed in the Restaurant Business. We both have a passion for Great Food and Excellent Service.
We are just shy of celebrating 10 years together.
After a heart to heart conversation and a tough decision we have decided to close our doors one last time.
This Friday 31st will be our last day.
Earthell & I have a bond that we cannot explain and love each other dearly. We knew that this day would come and we would know when the time was right.
We do not have enough words to express how much we have enjoyed feeding you all. We have made lots of friendships. We have got to know you and your families. We have celebrated your birthdays, anniversaries, and have grieved with you when you have lost a loved one.
Thank you for all your love, support and loyalty you have shown us over the past 10 years. We truly have felt loved. We will be forever grateful.
Be sure to come see us this week. Our hours will be the same. Weds/Thursday and Friday 11-7:30.
