One week ago, I shared a GoFundMe that I secretly started for Ethan, and I honestly don’t have the words to express how grateful we are.

To our Boone Family Bakery community, our family, our friends, our church family, and even complete strangers… thank you. Every donation, every share, every prayer, every kind message, every meal, and every bit of encouragement has carried us through one of the hardest seasons of our lives.

Watching Ethan work so hard every single day to care for me, Micah, our home, our animals, and keep the bakery running while we’re walking through this NICU journey has made me love and admire him even more. Being able to surprise him with this support means more than I can explain.

It’s been a little quiet around here lately.

Life has been full in the very best and hardest ways. As many of you know, our sweet Micah has been in the NICU, so social media has taken a bit of a back seat while we’ve focused on soaking up every moment we can with him.

The good news is that Micah is doing so well, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for every prayer, every encouraging message, and for continuing to support Boone Family Bakery through it all. Your kindness has meant more to our family than you’ll ever know.

While we’ve still been busy baking bread and seeing so many of you at the markets each week, I’m excited to start sharing more here again. There’s more sourdough goodness coming your way.

Over the last month, our Boone Family Bakery community has loved our family in ways we’ll never be able to repay.

You’ve brought us meals, prayed for us, checked in on us, continued supporting our bakery, and reminded us over and over that we aren’t walking through this season alone. Every kind word, every loaf you’ve purchased, every prayer for Micah, and every act of generosity has meant more than you’ll ever know. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As many of you know, while Micah has been in the NICU, Ethan has been carrying so much behind the scenes. He’s been taking care of our home, our animals, keeping the bakery running, making sure I’m okay, and working harder than ever to help us prepare for the medical bills that come with a long NICU stay.

Because he would never ask for help himself, I decided to do something for him.

I’ve created a GoFundMe as a surprise to help take some of that weight off his shoulders.
