Please please pleaseeeee remember that my invoices state a contract. I never say these things to be harsh or rude. I am just very forward with communication as well as I am a mom and other half, and this is a real job that helps pay bills and I pay taxes on!
This contract states that invoices must be paid within 24 hours of receiving. Your invoice shows when is viewed. You also receive a canceled notice after the 24 hours. If not paid, as stated the invoice is canceled and you will need to find elsewhere for your order. I have a lot of people I turn away because of volume of orders, so please respect my time as i certainly respect yours!
This invoice also states the outline of terms you agreed to, when payments are split 50/50, and when your second payment is due. If this is not followed, I will cancel invoices and your order will be canceled.
These things are unfortunately not an option for me anymore. I was very lenient for years on it, and I now have had to be professionally strict this year, as it’s happening more and more. I hate to relate it to something, but it’s like leaving something in your cart on any shopping or grocery app, not fully checking out, and still expecting them to prep your order and be ready for pickup at your arrival. Just as that is not how it works for them, it is not how it works for me either.
I am 1 person working to order things, prepare, schedule, create, bake, ect multiple orders a week/weekend.
Having to be direct and professional, while having boundaries and keeping the same process with everyone is not for the weak. This is very much mentally Tiring.
I have been cussed out and posts made about me years ago because someone viewed their invoice 4 times. I even left it for over 24 hours. I canceled it maybe around the 48 hour mark. She took it to Facebook and also went off on me in the messages. This was a order placed on a Tuesday for a whole array of treats that was to be picked up on a Saturday (including cookies that take 2 days to do for the face I do not own a dehydrator or Eddie printer)so by Thursday evening she was expecting to pay after her invoice after cancelled (she stated she could pay right away that she had just been busy every time she viewed the invoice) for an order that would be rushed, along with other orders already paid for that weekend.
I know some people do not care to read this, or care to have any sort of empathy for a small business owner, ect. & that’s okay.
I hope the people that do care and do pay promptly or discuss if the situation is otherwise upfront ; know that they are so greatly appreciated in ALL of our eyes-all of the small businesses- not just mine.
Thank you for understanding 🖤
