He has been serving up his delicious ribs, pulled pork, chicken, etc.
to family and friends for decades. Family gatherings led to his creation of the perfect seasoning and his specialty BBQ sauce that is a hit with anyone who tries it! After years of friends and family raving about his delicious BBQ Mark decided to take the plunge and purchase a food trailer with a built in smoker. He quickly learned that his BBQ was going to be a staple in Lawrence County for years to come. After working from the food trailer for the past year and a half Mark realized it was time to move inside. Smoking meat in the rain was ok, but serving their customers in the weather wasn’t something they wanted to do. They wanted to be able to offer their famous BBQ year round! That’s when the project began south of Lawrenceville in the old “Winks Filling Station”. It’s been a lot of long hours and hard work but they are excited to open here on September 27th and ready to see where this venture takes them! Over the last year MAD Pig has served many community events including The Lawrence County Scavenger hunt for 2 years, The Kyle Andrews Memorial ride, The Uncorked Festival, The Lawrence County Fall Festival, The Knox County Watermelon Festival, and more. Their mission is to serve quality BBQ at a fair price and give back to the community which has been so good to them.
