Tomorrow, The Story Cafe is taking our stories on the road. ☕🎥📖

From time to time, we have offsite obligations that allow us to serve and connect with our community beyond the walls of the cafe. Because of those commitments, The Story Cafe will be CLOSED on Tuesday, June 16th.

The good news? We’ll be back Wednesday, June 17th with fresh coffee, warm conversations, and your favorite cozy corner waiting for you. Doors reopen at 8:30 AM!

Today, my heart is full. ❤️

I am honored to serve as the featured speaker for the Women Helping Women Ministry Event at New Hope Baptist Church in La Crosse, Virginia.

Over the years, God has carried me through seasons of incredible joy and unimaginable grief. Today, I’ll share some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way, from a life in television news to this beautiful chapter at The Story Cafe. Through it all, I’ve discovered that joy isn’t the absence of hardship. It’s the presence of hope, faith, purpose, and God’s unwavering love.

If you’re walking through a difficult season, I want you to know this: your story isn’t over. There is still joy to be found, even in the midst of grief.

I cannot wait to meet and fellowship with the amazing women of Southside Virginia. Thank you to New Hope Baptist Church for this opportunity to encourage, uplift, and remind women everywhere that God still has a purpose for every chapter of our lives.

The streets behind Richmond City Hall were packed with energy, music, local flavor and community pride at First Fridays on the Block!

From amazing small businesses serving up delicious food and treats, to city resource tables connecting residents with valuable information, to incredible Pride Month celebrations and performances, this event had it all.

A special shoutout to DJ Statistics for keeping the crowd moving and bringing the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable afternoon.

I was honored to serve as co-emcee and witness hundreds of people coming together to support local businesses, celebrate diversity and enjoy everything that makes Richmond special.

Richmond showed up. Richmond showed out. ❤️
