Kali Deno (b. 1986) is a visual artist currently based in Lawrence, Kansas. She has been painting for nearly 20 years and studied ceramics in her home state at Washington State University. Kali has shown in both solo and juried group shows throughout Oregon, Washington, and Kansas. She is the recipient of the 2022 Arts+Culture+Crossings grant through the Kansas Creative Arts Industry as well as a winner for the 2024 Outdoors Unscripted Artist/Adventurer grant competition.

Kali’s works have often been inspired by and pay tribute to nature as it’s been intrinsically connected to her art throughout her career. Her current works incorporate the human experience and storytelling. ‘Blending’ being a key concept in her paintings, she blends vivid colors and uplifting imagery to portray difficult themes.
