🌈 CAKE OF THE WEEK 🌈 It’s that time again! Pride Month means FRUITY RAINBOW CAKE! Arguably the most fabulous cake of them all, this delicious diva is doing THE MOST with her six swirly layers of fierce flavors, serving up true ✨taste the rainbow✨ vibes:

Okay fam, you know the drill by now… I worked overtime to make as many cakes as possible, but TRUST, these will still go FAST, and Rainbow Cake only comes once a year. So come early (really early) to get yourself a slice or three at Saturday morning! 💅🏼💖 As a proud queer-owned business, I'd love to share a slice of Pride with you! 🏳️‍🌈

🧈🍌 MUFFIN TIME 🍌🧈 This week I’m bringing back your favorite: Brown Butter Banana Bread Muffins! Imagine your grandma’s banana bread recipe, but hijacked by a hipster foodie and upgraded with brown butter and a delicious maple shortbread crumble! Get them while they last!

🍫🍪 ALSO 🍪🍫 I’ve been feeling the salted toffee vibes lately, but this week I’m giving it a dark chocolate twist! My Dark Chocolate Salted Toffee cookies are sure to fix any chocolate cravings. I start with a chocolate cookie dough, throw in some fancy dark chocolate and english toffee, bake it to delicious chewy perfection, and then sprinkle some sea salt on top. This week only, come get them while they’re here!

🌹‼️ NEW ITEM ALERT ‼️🌹 Introducing my Raspberry Rose Sweet Cream Scones! These are similar to my Raspberry Scones, but this time I’ve added home-grown candied rose petals into the mix! Come try these elegant floral delights while they’re still around over the next few weeks!

☠️🍫 MUFFIN TIME 🍫☠️ It’s time for Death by Chocolate, but this time in muffin form! I start with a moist and rich chocolate muffin, add some dark chocolate chunks into the mix, add a chocolate shortbread crumble on the top, and finish it off with some chocolate icing. This week only!

🍪🌹 ALSO 🌹🍪 I’m keeping the rose train going this week with some White Chocolate Pistachio Rose cookies! This fancy foodie combination is an absolute treat, the perfect counterbalance to some of my richer dark chocolate cookies. It’ll only be around this week so come and try some while they last!

🏳️‍🌈 RAINBOW SEASON 🏳️‍🌈 is almost here, which means Rainbow Cake is coming soon! Each layer has a different fruity flavor, so you can taste the rainbow in a literal sense! It's the perfect cake for Pride events and weekend gatherings.

This year I'll be accepting pre-orders for whole rainbow bundt cakes now until midnight next Wednesday June 3rd. Pickup will be on Saturday morning June 6th at from 7:30-11:30.

Be sure to secure your cake while you can! I'll still be selling by the slice at market that morning, but this one tends to go fast and I'll only have a limited amount. Please keep in mind that I'll only be making the rainbow cakes once this year, so once they're gone, they're gone until next Summer!

🧈☕ CAKE OF THE WEEK ☕🧈 It's my Brown Butter Caramel Latte Cake! This *energizing* cake is made with Disco Espresso in a delicious brown butter cake, and little bits of toffee thrown into the mix just for fun. All of that is topped with a caramel espresso glaze, just to make sure that your morning gets off to a great start!

🍎🥧 MUFFIN TIME 🥧🍎 I'm going extra wholesome this week with my apple crumble muffins! They're packed with brown sugar cinnamon apples and topped with a shortbread crumble and vanilla icing... basically just apple pie in muffin form!

🍪♥️ ALSO ♥️🍪 Okay, fine, you all win, it's finally happening, I'm selling out and making Red Velvet Cookies this week despite my protestations otherwise! If you haven't already, please ask me for my Baker's Opinions™️ on Red Velvet Cake when you see me this weekend. Don't worry, I've got big plans to redeem Red Velvet in the coming weeks, but in the meantime these cookies are, admittedly, absolutely delicious! I've upgraded them with rich dark cocoa in a chewy chocolate cookie base, and added chunks of REAL white chocolate to give the true experience. This week only!

‼️ LASTLY ‼️ this will be the last week for strawberry scones, so better hurry and get them before they're gone for the season!

The current view at CHONKY Headquarters: a wall of elderberry in full bloom on one side, and a monstrous rose bush that's trying to eat my house on the other. My elderberries will be featured in one of my cakes later this summer as usual, but this beautiful behemoth of a rose bush has got me inspired this year. I'm looking forward to incorporating the edible rose petals into some of my new recipes over the next few weeks! Stay tuned for updates on my rose-inspired creations coming soon! 😍🌹

🍫🍒 CAKE OF THE WEEK 🍒🍫 It’s story time! Black Forest Cake is extremely near and dear to my heart, since it was the cake that originally inspired me to learn how to start decorating cakes well over a decade ago (big shoutout to for that). I fell in love with the combination of the rich moist chocolate and the sweet black cherries, balanced with the unique and delightful flavor of the kirsch (cherry liquor) frosting. Eventually this led to me getting into baking more seriously back when I had a regular office job. All of this might have never happened if it weren’t for this particular cake, so it goes without saying why it’s so special to me. Not only has it always been a crowd favorite, it also holds a very important place in my lineup since it was the very first cake that I ever made for the market when I started doing Cake of the Week back in 2021! Come join me this Saturday and let me share a slice of CHONKY history with you!

🍰🎉 NEW ITEM ALERT 🎉🍰 It’s strawberry season, which means that it’s time for Strawberry Shortcake! This beautiful creation is partially inspired by Victoria Sponge Cake, a traditional British tea cake that gives new meaning to the phrase “frickin delightful”. With a layer of sweet strawberries and smooth buttercream sandwiched between layers of yellow sponge cake, this tasty dessert is the quintessential Strawberries and Cream vibes for early Summertime!

🫐🥧 MUFFIN TIME 🥧🫐 Introducing my Blueberry Cobbler Muffins! I got impatient and decided that I need to have blueberry cobbler NOW, but I really wanted to wait another few weeks for blueberry season before I truly committed. The solution: make it into muffin form instead to tide me over! These juicy beauties are PACKED with blueberries and topped with a cobbler-esque shortbread crumble, along with a squiggle of vanilla icing to give those “melty scoop of vanilla ice cream on top” vibes. This week only while they last!

🍪 LASTLY 🍪 I'll be doing a trial run of my new Brown Butter Salted Toffee Cookies! They're packed with English Toffee and sprinkled with sea salt, all in a brown sugar caramel cookie dough!

✨‼️ NEW ITEM ALERT ‼️✨ This week I'll be doing a test run of my new Seven Layer Cookies! Inspired by the classic Seven Layer Bars, these delicious monstrosities are packed with all sorts of fun flavors and textures. I've upgraded them a bit with some rich dark chocolate and butterscotch toffee chips, along with pecans, coconut, graham cracker crumbs, brown butter, and Madagascar vanilla, all baked into a chewy brown sugar cookie dough. Better hurry and try them while you can, cuz these will be around for this week only!

🥕☘️ CAKE OF THE WEEK ☘️🥕 Calling all Carrot Cake lovers! Come early for this one - it’s just as delicious as it is adorable! First come first served this Saturday at Lawrence Farmers Market!

💥‼️ NEW ITEM ALERT ‼️💥 Raspberry Scones! I've had this one for the last few weeks, but I wanted to make sure I give it a proper shout-out here because it's so wonderfully delicious! These will be around for a few more weeks until strawberry season rolls around, so come get them while they last!

☕🍫 ALSO 🍫☕ keep an eye out for my Dark Chocolate Espresso Muffins this week only! It's got rich dark chocolate chunks, tons of Repetition Coffee Disco Espresso, a chocolate shortbread crumble, and is topped with caramel espresso icing! If you liked any of my chocolate cakes or the espresso muffins I used to make in previous years, you'll go crazy for these!

🥜🍬 LASTLY 🍬🥜 this week I'll be doing a test run of my Peanut Butter Praline Cookies, so be sure to check those out! They've got brown butter and chunks of candied praline peanuts, so they're sure to be a treat for any peanut butter lovers out there!
