Our dearest Rootimentary fam,

It is with super heavy hearts that we announce our official closing date. As of 9 pm on Saturday, May 25, we will no longer be open to serve the good and beautiful people of Laurens.

This decision will allow Chef Caleb and Jess to be home with their son more often, following a diagnosis that requires a little more of their time.

This has been a difficult decision, as we have made so many wonderful relationships since beginning this journey. You’ve made us feel loved and we are blown away by the support we have felt from so many of you. We appreciate your ongoing support and invite you to join us this weekend as we close out our time before giving another restaurant their turn.

The space is in the process of renovations and will operate as a restaurant and bar once more. Jess and Caleb are committed to working alongside the Holmes family and the City of Laurens to find a suitable tenant who will love and serve our beloved town well. The Speakeasy is also coming soon and there will be so many opportunities for you to create more memories in this beautiful building.

Many of you will have questions that we would love to answer. For now, we respectfully ask for silence and privacy for our family as we make this transition.

Thank you, all of you, for your support. We can’t wait to see all of the incredible projects coming down the pipeline for our charming town 💛

🐓 Coq Au Vin
Red wine and bacon braised, caramelized onion, mushroom, mashed potato, toasted sourdough, fresh herbs.

That sourdough is from Sanitary Market and it is deeeelicious!

🐓 Coq Au Vin is BACK! This dish was a favorite by so many (including us) that we decided to bring it back 🥰

🐄 Short Rib Pappardelle is also back! Many of you shed some big tears over this one.
