Somebody this week asked if I was still cooking. And I do, as much as I can. Especially important as my part of the Beef Buggy Las Cruces mobile food program meu is programmed.

And also as I work on the food function part of the Pit & Parlor Cafe concept that I am putting into play at the Gold Medal BBQ Building (Dallas Center, IA BBQ Market).

And again as I food play with the Simply Delicious Food Blog that I write. Intended more than anything to create a log of recipes and processes that I find interesting.

And then there are the Food Trucks. Will be 2027 projects. Either sell the base units or put them into service. Currently three opportunities. The one shown is the Ford F59. Also the Acme Chicken Bowl Truck that will be converted. And the new Chevy electric Brightdrop Van.

Shepherd's Pie Stuffed Potatoes is on the list for this weekend. See Food Target in comments. I especially like the idea that the added filling can be made ahead end even frozen.

Baked potatoes will be on the Uncle Jimmy menu as part of the Beef Buggy Las Cruces mobile food program. And this approach puts some good tastin' loose meat on a spud!

The Beef Buggy Las Cruces program being developed in Las Cruces, NM will feature sandwiches from different USA regions. The video linked in comments reminds me that when it comes to Cheesesteak Sandwiches we can feature various bbq meats like brisket.

Beef Buggy Las Cruces LLC is thinking about starting a BBQ Club right here in Las Cruces, and before we get the smokers fired up, we want to know:

👉 Would YOU be interested in joining a local BBQ Club?

We’re thinking about getting together once or twice a month for BBQ cooks, good food, fun activities, and great company.

While the BBQ is smoking, members could visit, share BBQ tips and recipes, learn new cooking techniques, participate in activities, and enjoy some good old-fashioned fellowship.

And we want this to be family-friendly! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

The idea would be for members to bring their families and, when the cooking is finished, sit down together and enjoy a great BBQ dinner.

This wouldn't just be a club run by us — the members would help decide what the club becomes. Meeting schedules, activities, cooks, events, and how the club operates would all be things the members could have a say in.

Whether you're an experienced pitmaster, just learning to BBQ, or simply someone who loves great BBQ and good people, we'd love to hear from you!

Back from vacation (3300 miles to Vermont and back). Time to get to work. And there is a bunch of it.

I need to do my Uncle Jimmy thing for the Beef Buggy Las Cruces. Final testing of my main contributions. Loose Meat (Maid-Rite, Tavern, Tastee, etc.) ground beef sandwich. Iowa State Fair style Grinder. And for Uncle Jack I need to help him with his Chili, important as a cup or bowl, but maybe even more important as a base for all Beef Hot Dogs.

And of course sides. Iowa style bbq beans, cheesy potatoes and bbq green beans included. And dessert. Dump Cakes that the Lunch Box BBQ Cafe became famous for.

My Iowa Grinders use Grazianos, and usually hot. Not sure just exactly how to get that to Las Cruces, NM for the Buggy. So probably will work on hacking something easily available or making my own. So Grinder homework here I come!! See Food Target in comments.
