I adopted my son in 2011 out of the Pinellas County foster system. It was both the most challenging and the most rewarding thing I have ever done. From time to time, we will do a adoption event where kids come in and make pizzas with prospective adopting parents. There are over 2000 kids in the foster care system in Pinellas alone.
