Heston Supper Club

Heston Supper Club Heston Supper Club's reputation is built on outstanding food, generous portions and friendly service In 1982, we were fortunate to purchase Heston Bar.

Once upon a time in rural Indiana there was a small town known as Heston. Although the town was small, the people took great pride in their own little corner of the world. The heart of the community was centered around this building. The post office kept the locals in touch with the outside world. The grist and lumber mill finished materials into marketable products. Our building, although smaller

at the time, housed a dairy, which evolved into the general store and tavern. The tavern served a a meeting place for the locals to come together, eat and drink and keep up with the local happenings. Although the post office and mills are gone, the tavern remained and became known as Heston Bar. It is still considered a meeting place, but our guests are not all locals. In 2000, we added "Supper Club" to the original Heston Bar name to better describe the destination-type restaurant, as our guests travel from all surrounding areas. Heston Supper Club's reputation is built on outstanding food, generous portions and friendly service in a comfortable casual fine dining atmosphere. While, yes, there is a full service "Bar", with an award-winning wine list, we prefer the main focus to be on the supper club style restaurant. At Heston Supper Club you are welcomed to complimentary "Heston Supper Club" cheese to begin your dining experience. Award-winning, slow roasted Prime Rib is the house specialty, with cuts up to 40 ounces. Our menu features sauteed lake perch and Canadian walleye, hand cut steaks and chops, barbequed ribs and a wide variety of seafood. All entrees are served with homemade soup, salad and choice of side, in the supper club tradition. Our staff is committed to maintain the standard of outstanding food service that is Heston Supper Club. Enjoy your Dinner! Your Hosts

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, service, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

On this Memorial Day, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and especially to those who gave everything for our country.

“Some gave a little,
Some gave their all.
For the freedoms we cherish,
They answered the call.

Their legacy lives
In the land of the free,
Forever remembered
For their bravery.”

From all of us at Heston Supper Club, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we honor our nation’s heroes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Jon Samuelson, his family, and the entire La Porte County Sheriff’s Office during this tragic and difficult time.

We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected and want the men and women of LCSO to know that this community stands beside you. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Please continue to keep Deputy Samuelson, his loved ones, and all of law enforcement in your prayers.

On behalf of the Samuelson family, La Porte County Sheriff Ronald C. Heeg announces the following update regarding Deputy Jon Samuelson.

Following yesterday’s senseless incident at Franciscan Health Hospital – Michigan City Campus, Deputy Samuelson was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for advanced medical treatment.

A team of surgeons and medical staff prepared Deputy Samuelson for surgery. He underwent approximately eight (8) hours of surgery, which surgeons later described as successful. Medical staff remain optimistic regarding his recovery.

Deputy Samuelson remains in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital.

“Thank you to the surgeons and the entire medical staff at Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care being provided to Deputy Samuelson,” stated Sheriff Heeg. “Please continue to pray for Jon, his family and friends, and the entire law enforcement community.”

Deputy Samuelson is a 12-year veteran of the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office. He currently serves as a member of the agency’s Highway Interdiction Unit, is the handler for K-9 Bosco, and is designated as a US Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force Officer out of the Merrillville District Office.

In the days and weeks ahead, further information will be released when appropriate to do so.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of one of our cherished Tuesday regulars, Laurie Jean Breslan. Laurie was a familiar and friendly face, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
