Join the South Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Corridor Improvement Authority on Thursday, October 15, for an afternoon of service, connection, and neighborhood pride along the S. MLK corridor.

We’ll gather at UA Local 333 at 12:30 PM for lunch catered by La Mulata Restaurant before heading out for the cleanup. Gloves, trash bags, and other cleanup supplies will be provided.

*OCTOBER DRINK SPECIAL*
Scooby Snacks Latte

The Scooby Snacks Latte is inspired by a piloncillo gingersnap cookie and kicks off our latest fundraiser. It is sweetened with a piloncillo syrup and flavored with ginger, vanilla, and cookie butter. Lastly, we serve it with our lovely transatlantic bitters and a dash of cinnamon.

This October, we are partnering with the Capital Area Humane Society () to raise money for pet supplies and adoption efforts. 10% of drink sales made with the Scooby Snacks Latte will be donated to CAHS to continue their good work! As usual, 100% of our Pay-What-You-Can drip coffee will also contribute to the fundraiser.

Thrilled to have this coffee from Farmer/Producer sourced via . Great for those who like sweet and fruity coffees; this Honduras reminds us of strawberry, blackberry, & chocolate. 'Finca Probando Ideas' translates to 'testing ideas' and highlights the experimental quality of their natural process.

Cereza visited José's farm earlier this year and were blown away by their commitment to quality and love for their community. This lot is truly incredible and a labor of love as José says "coffee means everything" to him. They are an eco-conscious farm, using sustainable agriculture practices and also grow local produce for the community.

NEW COFFEE ALERT 🚨
India - Balmaadi Estate
Process: Washed

Our first coffee from India! This coffee has a clean finish with a profile that reminds us of lemon, clove, and baked apple.

Nestled among beautiful mountains, the estate (Balmaadi) has been producing high-quality coffee for many years. Host to an eco-friendly environment, Balmaadi is known for its rich and unique assemblage of flora and fauna, and the coffee plants are inter-cropped with pepper, cardamom, banana and oranges. The estate has abundant reserves of timber, rosewood, silver oak, and other valuable trees, which are grown for shade. It is equipped with a modern wet mill station where coffee cherries are pulped, fermented, and washed to remove any mucilage present. The coffee is then dried under cool weather conditions to avoid the harshness of the sun.

**SEPTEMBER DRINK SPECIAL**

The Lorelai Latte. ☕☕☕

Inspired by the television character, Lorelai Gilmore-- and her famous coffee order-- "coffee coffee coffee," this latte is coffee made three ways. First, it is sweetened with a caramel created with our in-house cold brew concentrate; then it is enhanced with coffee bitters, and lastly, it is topped with a dash of espresso + cocoa powder. Enjoy ONLY this September; don't miss your chance to try this!

This drink is coming a little early to kick off our new fundraiser as part of Together for Colombia with . Forest Green Coffee has offered to match up to $5000 in donations supporting communities affected by earthquakes-- to be divided between coffee farmer relief and supplies for those affected in Pereira. While this isn't a fundraiser directly within our community, it goes toward the farmers who are boots on the ground growing YOUR coffee. We will continue to share information about Together for Colombia, but in the meantime, you can contribute by purchasing our September drink special or via the QR codes posted in our shop. I swear we didn’t plan this 😂 While La Mulata Restaurant was showing us some love on social media this morning, we had already set up a hangout there for this afternoon, to grab a drink and chat with a friend! WOW! Amazing people, great service and excellent drink/food options! I enjoyed a Passion Fruit Margarita and some Sweet Plantains. Show this business some South side love and check them out!
