Over the last few days, we had the incredible honor of spending time with the families of Jake’s crewmates from Gundam 22. It was an emotional, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling experience to connect, share stories, and simply be together.

Being a Gold Star family member is not a club anyone ever wants to be part of. Yet through our shared loss, we find comfort in one another, and we find each other. We are forever connected by the love we have for our sons and husbands and by the sacrifices they made.

We are so grateful for their visit and honored that they were able to see the tables that lovingly honor each of their boys and husbands. Watching them spend time at those tables, sharing memories and reflections, was truly special.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of this time together. The bonds we share will always remain, and we will continue to carry their memory in our hearts as we honor the legacy of these remarkable men, here at Jake’s Java, one cup at a time ♥️🇺🇸☕️

Sending a big shout out and a huge thank you to our dear friend and local artist Deanna Ketzer who graciously got our honor tables touched up for the season. We first met Deanna when she volunteered to paint a bench in honor of Capt. Ross Reynolds USMC. Who made the ultimate sacrifice to our nation in 2022.  Deanna has become an important part of the Jake’s Java family. If you’re ever in need of a skilled artist, we highly recommend her!
