Something magical is coming to Nourish’d, and I want to tell you a little about the women behind it. ✨
When I opened That Place Down The Street, I dreamed of building a place where people could gather, try something new, and feel like they belonged. I didn’t realize that one day, I would be the person needing room to try something new—and that opening up that space for myself would make room for so much more invention, creativity, and possibility.
I’ve always wanted this to be a place where people could dream, experiment, and take a chance on what might be possible. It feels like such an honor to provide space along someone’s journey—to create room for a dream to take shape, even if it starts small, uncertain, or unfinished.
This season has asked a lot of me. I’m studying, preparing for a new position, and making some honest decisions about where my time and energy need to go. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I’m also ready to give myself the space to follow the things this season is asking of me while giving Alisa room to bring more of herself to Nourish’d.
She’s stepping into more of the day-to-day and having some fun reinventing the menu, while I’m making room for the things this season is asking of me and my family. Watching her dream and experiment in a space I once had to be brave enough to create feels pretty special. There’s grit in both parts of this story: in building something from the ground up, and in trusting another woman to help it grow.
So you’ll see some changes at Nourish’d and That Place Down The Street as we move through this season and into the new year. We’ll both still be here, making room for what’s next and cheering each other on. I hope you’ll come see what we’re creating. 💛
