Scoop #68: our beautiful biscuit queen, Dorothy 🤎

As soon as our partners at Columbia Animal Shelter introduced Dorothy to the world, we knew she had to come to the cafe. We had a comfy cozy chair ready for her and all the biscuits she’d ever like to make 🍪

Dorothy came from a sad hoarding situation with her companions, Goldie Girl and Blanche (it’s a Golden Girls theme, but there’s always room for Wizard of Oz, too). Due to Columbia’s amazing rescue efforts and the magic of the cat cafe, we’re happy to say that all of these sweet girls are now in safe, loving homes!

Dorothy is already settling in nicely with her new, sweet family right here in Lancaster (that met her at our Kitty Cat Bookclub with Pocket Books Shop !!!) and if you’re wondering if her favorite Strawberry Shortcake biscuit pillow went home with her?

It did 🍰🍓 we love you, Dorothy!

October artists are PRESENT 🎃🎃🎃

Love + Kindness Candles Mickayla is a beloved lancaster local creator! Her soy wax, phthalate-free candles are hand-poured and all made by her personally. She’s got some 🍁autumnal🍁 scents and a cat cafe favorite, Kitty Biscuits 😻😻😻

Toast and Co makes amazing polymer clay earrings for every whimsical occasion you could think of. They’re SO cute (please look at the chickens?!?), and side note: we love that her logo is her kitty, Toast ❤️

far_out_designz makes super cool wood earrings, signs, ornaments and more! The ornaments have our temporary logo on them and the proceeds will go to the logo artist, Ash 🫶

ALSO, emily merola is BACK with mugs, worry beans, and keychain beans as well!!!

October is gonna be a great month. Cheers, qu**rs 🥂

Adoption number 67: Peppadew 🖤

We have hardly any photos of Peppa because she was only at the cafe for a WEEK before she got scooped!!! We knew she wouldn’t last long with how undeniably sweet and adorable she is. Sometimes referred to as “Father Peppadew” because of the white spot on her chest (okay literally only I called her that), Peppa was a trooper during the one week she was at the cafe, AKA Broken AC Week, and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. She even made a few folks cry just because of how sweet and precious she is (true story).

We love you and miss you already, Pep! You deserve the world! 🖤

Babe wake up, new craft night just dropped!

On November 20th, we’re having another cool craft night! This time we’re decorating adorable little whisker pots with ceramicist Riley from Riley Schaefer 🐈‍⬛

Riley makes really cool pottery, including teeny tiny vases used to display your cats’ whiskers. Folks who purchase a ticket to this craft night will get two whisker pots to decorate, as well as a lovely cozy tea from the cafe (shout out Kitty Town Coffee for their yummy teas)

The event will be from 6:30pm-8pm. Come make something cute with us and the kitties 🙂 find the tickets in our bio on IG on Linktree!

Adoption number 66: Ygritte!!!

Ygritte has been with us for a whiiiiiile now. Between almost getting adopted with her sister and it falling through, going back to her foster home for months, and then making it BACK to the cafe, this girl has been through a lot. Ygritte is a kitty that we’ve seen change so much over time, despite her long journey home. She’s gotten so much more social through her time at the cafe. Seeing her accepting pets, love and affection has been so beautiful.

Ygritte’s adopters fell in love with her gentle disposition and her story, and knew they needed to have her. We couldn’t be happier that Ygritte’s people finally found her, just like we told her every day they would. 💓

We love you, Ygritte. We wish you nothing but warmth, love, and comfort, sweet girl.

Artist mentions: Illustrations ~ Mix Media ~ Chunky Cats for the portrait, and Riley Schaefer for the amazing personalized, handmade food bowl 😍😍😍

Our current kitties as of *checks watch* BASICALLY OCTOBER 🎃

Our kitties are adoptable through Sams’s Beasties, Cornwall Community Cats (both foster-based, nonprofit, 501C3 organizations), as well as Columbia Animal Shelter.

⭐️Do you work with a 501C3 certified rescue and have an adoptable cat you think would fit the cat cafe vibe? Go on the 717 Rescue Nexus website and APPLY with our Bridge Program! Our goal is to work with all different nonprofit rescues to bring even more awareness and exposure to these cats in need of homes! Each cat from each rescue will need an application filled out for them entailing the vaccinations they’ve received, their temperament, their overall health and disposition, etc.

Come meet our sweet babies/help us adopt out even more! 💝
