🚨 SAFETY ON THE LAKE: CPR & FIRST AID CLASS ON THE DOCK 🚨

Whether you're a seasoned captain or just love life on the water, knowing what to do in an emergency is part of being a good neighbor at Herrington Lake.

The Herrington Lake Yacht Club is hosting "Class on the Dock" at their clubhouse at Pandora Marina! Lisa Owens from Centre College will be leading a certification course in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid.

📅 WHEN: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
⏰ TIME: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
📍 WHERE: HLYC Dock at Pandora Marina\
💰 COST: $65.00 per person (Cash or Check)

We are capped at 30 participants total. This is a first-come, first-served opportunity to get certified right here on the water.

We’ve known Trace since he was a young boy, and for years he’s been one of our hardworking dock guys. Today he heads to New York for USMAPS to begin preparing for West Point.

We couldn’t be more proud of the young man he has become. His work ethic, character, and determination have brought him to this incredible opportunity, and we know this is just the beginning.

Congratulations, Trace! Thank you for everything you’ve done for us over the years. We wish you nothing but success as you begin this next chapter. We can’t wait to see all that your future holds. 🇺🇸💙

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as first responders and recovery crews continue their work. Please keep everyone involved in your thoughts and give them the space they need to safely complete this difficult task.

Last night, a devastating accident on Herrington Lake left multiple families facing an unimaginable crisis.

We are organizing a care package for the injured and their families. Gift cards and donations can be dropped off at Kamp Kennedy Marina, 4646 Kennedy Bridge Road, Lancaster, KY.

Our community takes care of its own, and always steps up when needed. Let's show these families they are not alone.
