Our very first Opportunity Cafe recipient Israel of El Cuadrilatero
Has opened up shop at his new location in City of Hillsboro !

A little news update from our friends in Oregon Small Business Development Center Network and MESO PDX

Now a thriving cafe in Beaverton, Oregon, serving espresso, made-to-order sandwiches, pastries and more, El Cuadrilatero Cafe was made possible because of the vision and hard work of owner Israel Martinez, along with guidance from PCC Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Israel was trying to figure out the restaurant business for himself when the City of Tigard invited him to join the Restaurant Business Builders program at the SBDC. In 2021, he was the first entrepreneur to open a business at Tigard’s Opportunity Cafe.

The 10-week program helped give him the knowledge and tools to be successful for years to come. Israel praised the SBDC for letting him know where to go and what to do, and for providing all the tools but allowing him to do it for himself.
