Odo Shakiso // Another sweet floral and citrus gem from the birthplace of coffee!

Our second selection from Ethiopia for the season hails from the Guji region of Ethiopia. This grade 1 lot is produced by growers in and around the district of Odo Shakiso who bring their harvests to the washing station where they are graded and processed.

As with all great washed coffees from Ethiopia, expect loads of sweet floral aromatics fresh off the grind. Florals carry over into the cup and are joined by flavors of peach and mandarin and wrapped up in a sugarcane sweetness - a lovely delicate cup for these warmer days!

Herman Salazar // Fresh off the grind the aromatics are bursting with fruit notes like grape and pineapple. The cup is elegant and layered. We are tasting everything from fruit punch to red grape, all wrapped up in a deep agave sweetness. If you are reading this, don't miss out and grab a bag because it will not be here for long.

Embu Lot #1 // We are entering the heart of fresh crop season from Kenya and this first lot from the Embu region is such a great representation of the quality that can be found from this beautiful country. Embu lies just northeast of Nairobi where small holder producers bring their harvests to their local washing station to be processed.

Fresh off the grind the aromatics are intense and sweet with dark fruit notes like blackberry. Blackberry carries over into the cup as well and is joined by notes of rooibos and a deep brown sugar sweetness. If you love coffees with big sweetness, big flavor and fuller mouthfeel, this gem is for you!

Two new coffees have launched this week! A Pink Bourbon from Huila, Colombia & a Red Bourbon from Kayanza, Burundi 🩷

Carlos Guamanga // Fresh off the grind the aromatics are sweet and floral. Notes of cherry can be found in the cup and are wrapped up in a brown sugar sweetness from hot to cold. Just another great example of why we love the pink bourbon variety.

Munkaze // Fresh off the grind we are smelling ripe plum and berries in the aromatics. Plum, mission fig, and raisin are found in the cup with a silky chocolate mid-tone wonderfully balancing the fruit forward cup.
