BELIEVE IN MIRACLES

Last week, we realized at closing, someone had swiped the dog bowl that we leave out for our furry friends. Needless to say, we were heartbroken. Why would anyone take a community dog bowl?

This morning, without notice, it appeared! No question asked. While we did have to buy a replacement, we were overjoyed that someone returned it. Thank you!

MATCHA MONDAY

We get asked all the time how to make matcha, so here are some pointers:
What You’ll Need
Water
Chawan (Matcha Bowl)
Chasen (Bamboo Matcha Whisk)
Matcha - If you’re drinking pure matcha, we recommend using a ceremonial grade matcha such as our Organic Ceremonial Matcha or Sugimoto Reserve Mizuki Matcha as they are sweeter and smoother than culinary grade matcha.
Optional:
Chasaku (matcha scoop)
Chasen Kusenaoshi (whisk holder)
Sifter

Step 1: Soak the Chasen in Hot Water
Step 2: Scoop Matcha Into the Chawan
Step 3: Pour Hot Water
Step 4: Whisk the Matcha
Step 5: Serve
Step 6: Cleaning
Bowl and Whisk: Pour hot water into your matcha bowl and clean using the whisk. Throw out the water, then wipe your chawan dry. You can dry the whisk on a Chasen Kusenaoshi (Whisk Holder).
Chasaku: Wipe the scoop with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid contact with water.

The Harbinger of Doom uses Moonflower, jasmine-scented steamed oolong, and El Vampiro De Moca uses Happy Colada, a tropical fruit tisane with cherry.
