This month we want you to get to know another of our super talented members, Kiwii Wongpeng, she ways:
I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. I grew up around my family’s restaurant businesses, where I learned the values of hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and strong people skills.
Ten years ago, I opened a small restaurant called Thai Thai, where we serve and introduce Bangkok street food to Northeast Ohio.
I graduated from Tri-C with degrees in Culinary Arts and Restaurant/Food Management. The faculty, friends, staff, officers, and custodians at Tri-C Hospitality have become lifelong friends.
I currently serve as an advisory board member for Tri-C Hospitality Management and the Lakewood High School–West Shore Career-Tech Culinary Arts Program.
The American Culinary Federation’s Cleveland-Akron-Canton Chapter has provided me with opportunities, connections, and guidance to grow as a chef, business owner, and member of the ACF family. I am grateful to be part of the ACF family, and I will continue to support and participate in our chapter.
