Tomorrow morning, voting closes for USA TODAY’s Best Independent Coffee Shop in the country!

The support we’ve received over the last few weeks has been incredible. From our customers and team to the entire Lakeville community and beyond, you’ve shown up for our little coffee company in a BIG way.

We started this competition in 11th place and climbed all the way to #1 before the rankings were hidden. Now we’re hoping we can bring this one home!

GOOD NEWS! 🎉☕ DOWNTOWN IS BACK!

After a few unexpected days of being closed, we’re excited to share that our Downtown Lakeville location will be OPEN tomorrow (Friday)!

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and support while we worked through the equipment issue. Closures are never easy for a small business, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who stopped by Crossings, reached out, or shared a kind word.

Both locations will be open tomorrow from 7 AM to 3 PM, and we’d love to see you!

Several weeks ago we received a couple emails that we had been nominated for Best Independent Coffee Shop, as part of USA TODAY 10BEST’s Readers’ Choice Awards…. & truthfully, we thought it was a scam. Little did we know, it was very real & we quickly took number #1 in voting thanks to the daily votes of our supporters and BEST customer base!

If you would have told these three kids five years ago that we’d be in the running for Best Independent Coffee Shop in the country, we would have been absolutely shocked.

So much has happened in the last five years.

We went from working behind the bar every day, sometimes serving only a handful of people, to having a constant line out the door, opening a second location, and starting to roast our own coffee.

Along the way, we’ve made A LOT of mistakes. We’ve learned a lot. We’ve figured out what we truly want this business to be, made some big management hires, worked hard to build and retain an incredible team, made more mistakes, learned more lessons… you get the gist.

It has been a wild five years, and we genuinely could not have done it without the support of Lakeville and the surrounding communities.

And somehow, here we are — currently sitting at #2 in the USA TODAY Best Independent Coffee Shop in the country voting.

We truly cannot believe it.

If you’ve ever grabbed a coffee from us, brought a friend in, supported a launch, bought a bag of beans, told someone about Tapestry, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines — this is where you can help us take it one step further.

A few days ago, we found out that Tapestry was selected as one of 20 finalists for USA TODAY 10BEST’s Best Independent Coffee Shop in the country.

Thanks to everyone who has been voting and sharing, we’re already up to #4.

It’s pretty incredible to see our little coffee company from Lakeville on a list like this. We’d love to see if we can make a run at #1.
