We are changing it up for our Annual ESL and Church July 4th celebration! It’s special one with this being our nation’s 250th Birthday!!!
Schedule of events:
9 -10 AM - PRAYER for the nation

10:30-11:30 -
VARIETY SHOW (sign up for a slot to share your talent)
PATRIOTIC SONGS
ART CONTEST (submit your art of any kind that represents you thoughts on the 250th Birthday of America - Submit by Thursday, July 2)

11:30AM - 2:30PM - Hotdog (beef) Lunch, Summer games, famous watermelon eating, contest and giant waterslide
* Bring a dessert to share!

Summer is here and we are hosting our “Created” art series again. It was so much fun last year! We have creative days: a special 3 day workshop for kids; July 4th art contest; a creative movie, pizza and craft; and an all ages art time. Most events are drop in except the kid’s workshop and art contest, so please sign up by using the QR code for the workshop or contacting the church, River of Life Community Church

We have some exciting events planned for ESL (and anyone who would like to come) next week when we have a team from Texas with us!

TUESDAY: Field trip to Virginia Museum of Fine Arts at 10AM. Meet us there or at the church if you would like to go other. Please let us know.
Arts, Crafts and Pizza at 3:30-6PM. We will be decorating jars and making face/body scrubs!
$5 suggested donation, but no obligation. Ladies only!

WEDNESDAY: “Love Our Neighbors” Worship and Prayer. We want to pray and encourage our immigrant neighbors and pray our neighbors around the world. Please join us with music in Spanish, English and Russian. All are welcome!

THURSDAY: ESL Classes at 10AM and 7PM. We will learn about Texas, learn a Texas Line Dance and have Texas treats with our friends from Texas! Yeehaw! 🤠

FRIDAY: Dinner and a movie! Bring a dish of food from your home country to share, and our Texans will be making Texas Chili!🌶️ Our movie is and inspirational movie for the whole family! (PG) all are welcome!

Rule Breakers (2025) is an inspiring drama based on the true story of Roya Mahboob (Nikohl Boosheri) and the "Afghan Dreamers," the first all-girl robotics team from Afghanistan. The film follows their journey to compete internationally, overcoming severe gender discrimination, threats, and societal restrictions to showcase their engineering skills.
