What a wonderful surprise! ❤️📰

Opening the newspaper and seeing ourselves there was such an unexpected and special moment for us!

We are incredibly honored that Konrad’s Bakery was voted One of the Best Bakeries and One of the Best Wedding Cakes in McHenry County in the 2026 Best of the Fox Readers’ Choice Awards! 🏆🎂

A huge thank you to the Northwest Herald for the beautiful feature and for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful evening celebrating local businesses.

But our biggest THANK YOU goes to you — our customers and our community. ❤️

Since taking over the bakery, we’ve been learning, creating, trying new things, and growing together with you. We are truly grateful for how warmly this community has welcomed us.

We love our partners at Konrad's Bakery! Stop in for their Savory Scones-Spinach/Bacon, Jalapeño/Cheese, their Sweet Scones-Triple Berry (blueberry, raspberry, blackberry), Cranberry Orange, Chocolate Chip and Lemon Blueberry! All are delicious and have a following! And of course their beautifully decorated Sugar Cookies!

After years of creating dessert tables, we thought we had seen it all — but this was a first!
An elegant dessert display arranged on a covered grand piano became the centerpiece of this beautiful celebration. At first, we were a little surprised, but it reminded us once again that there is always a way to bring a vision to life. Every new challenge is an opportunity to create something special.
