New update update 4/20/26
I was released from Barnes-Jewish Hospital
The surgical team gave me off Wednesday to travel back to celebrate my birthday. After long consideration I don’t feel like traveling that far yet and taking a chance of getting an auto accident. If that happened that would be a horrible situation right now. I have a duty and an honor to the donor and the donor‘s family to protect and take care of this gift of life that I was given. To me the Risk way out ways the Reward. And when making good decisions, if the risk out ways, there’s no point in rolling the dice. If I screwed anything up, I could never forgive myself. My heart tells me this is the right thing to do. So I’m gonna hold off for now. I hate to disappoint anyone, but I think it’s what’s best. Love $teve ❤️🙏

It just keeps getting more miraculous as it goes. Schedule to be released tomorrow as long as my blood work stays consistent. I have to stay in the St. Louis area close to Barnes Jewish Hospital for 4 to 6 weeks for testing and lab results. Wednesday is my birthday and I’ve been given the OK from the surgical team to come to town to have my birthday party Off The Cliff like I do every year! The best birthday gift anyone could get ❤️“The Gift Of Life” ❤️ It will be my chance to personally give out Hugs and Thank you to everyone. I had no idea that so many people cared about me. It puts tears in my eyes every day and night. Tears of love and joy everyone has been so amazing. I just don’t know what to say. My family has just been blown away with the outpour of kind and loving things that y’all have done for us. This is a prime example why I love the lake community and never wanna live anywhere else!😁❤️🙏❤️ Don’t worry everybody I am not working! Just celebrating!🥳 🎂🎉🥳
