NATIONAL DESSERT DAY: It's still warm enough to melt ice cream outside, which means it's still ice cream season in our book! Pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream from Scoop Ice Cream NC is back in a limited batch. Stop by the North Shore Beach Cabana to get your fix while you can and take in the views of the changing leaves as the colors begin to cascade down the mountains.

Today is also National Dessert Day, so this seems like a perfect excuse to grab a scoop of your favorite ice cream flavor. What's your go-to flavor?

"Members had a 'hervórragend' time at Oktoberfest down at the Pavilion last Friday. From schnitzel to Conga lines to bobbing for apples, attendees experienced some classic German and fall activities. Enjoying the yodels and sounds of the Holzhackern Tyrolean Band, we listened to some classic German drinking songs and even threw in some familiar tunes (and dances) such as the chicken dance!

Thanks to all of you who came out. PROST!"
